His research has focused on the ethics of different public health interventions (particularly state interventions to decrease the incidence of specific diseases), how to make fair resource allocation decisions where medical resources are scarce, and intergenerational justice (with a focus on younger people’s obligations towards those who are in the later stages of their life).
