Inigo Barrio-Hernandez

Dr. Iñigo Barrio-Hernández, member of The European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI), has a degree in Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Navarra (2011). He obtained his doctorate at the University of Southern Denmark (Odense, 2016) under the supervision of Professors Blagoy Blagoev and Moustafa Kassem working on methods of mass spectrometry and bioinformatics, applied to the study of cell differentiation and protein modification (phosphorylation and ubiquitination).

Iñigo carried out a postdoc in Pedro Beltrao's group, in the EMBL-EBI, following two main lines: Evaluation of methods based on interaction networks to prioritize association between genes and diseases obtained from GWAS (Genome Wide Association Studies) studies and the study of conservation and conditional regulation of protein ubiquitination.
