John H. is a Group Head of Investor Relations and Finance Director of Business Analysis for QinetiQ Group Plc, the FTSE250 (£2bn market cap) science and engineering company operating across the defence, security and critical infrastructure markets. This is a newly created role to lead both Investor Relation and wider analysis of the QinetiQ Group, with a particular focus on investments and M&A.
Prior to this role John was the Finance Director for the Cyber & Information division, with revenues of c.£250m and one of the fast growth areas of the QinetiQ Group. As divisional FD John worked alongside the MD to lead business delivery taking a key leadership role in the business to achieve operational results, full ownership and accountability for the end-to-end divisional P&L and Balance Sheet, development of business and M&A strategy and execution, and lead financial decision-making in the division. John led key strategic engagements to drive the growth of the business resulting in sustained >30% revenue growth p.a. including the developing, structuring and negotiating financial and commercial approaches to new business opportunities and bids.
