Jen Willmer
Jen Willmer is a Senior Lawyer who has a broad range of experience in: - corporate and commercial law - M&A, capital raisings & investments - cyber security, cyberlaw, privacy & data - information governance & security - technology law - risk management & compliance - corporate governance - international trade and export. Jen has worked on numerous M&A and corporate transactions, ranging from restructures to large and complex multi-million dollar cross-border transactions.
She works with businesses at all sizes, ranging from small family-owned businesses and private companies to ASX-listed companies. Jen also assists with all legal aspects of running a business, from structuring, capital raising, to daily operations, directors' duties, risk management, corporate governance, and compliance with regulatory requirements. In terms of cyber security, Jen assists clients (before, during and after) to prepare for data breaches, and guides them through the relevant steps to prepare incident response plans, comply with their legal obligations regarding privacy and data breach notification, manage their crisis communication to regulators, counterparties, customers and other stakeholders, draft security clauses in contracts, and draft policies. Jen also regularly works with cyber security companies to assist them with their own terms and conditions and contracts with their clients, and manage their own risk and potential liability in providing their security products and services to clients. While being the expert speaker for the Export Ready Program (run by Business SA and DTTI), Jen also works with businesses on their export arrangements, and assist with their structuring for risk management and asset protection, and drafting contracts necessary for export.
