Lorna Cmgr is an ddvisor/consultant in strategic communication, international engagement and stabilisation, multi-media journalist and trainer. Currently Spokesperson for Defence on COVID19 and communications adviser to the Commander of the military operation on the Coronavirus in support of the UK government and NHS (for which awarded Chief of the General Staff Commendation in the 2021 New Year Honours and Awards). Ongoing contracts with UK Foreign Development and Commonwealth Office assessing strategic and policy influence in international organisations and communications consultancies. Previous contracts include UK Government Russia Team, United Nations, African Union, Israeli and Somali governments, NATO and UK government Stabilisation Unit.

Extensive experience worldwide - especially in conflict and post-conflict environments - of assessing, writing and advising on communication plans, their effects and how messaging can be used to influence behaviour, as well as building relationships and coordinating between stakeholders in delicate international environments. Video-journalist, formerly deputy foreign news editor and reporter at Sky News. Bilingual graduate in English and French Law, with military background and foreign languages. Deployments in civilian and military roles include Bosnia, Kosovo, Oman, Czech Republic and most recently Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Kenya, Somalia and the Palestinian Territories.
