Vijay is part of the Global Industries Team at IBM and manages Travel, Transportation & Hospitality Industries across Asia Pacific, Greater China, Japan, Middle East & Africa. He also leads TradeLens (Blockchain based Digital platform jointly developed by IBM & Maersk) and Industry Solutions & Business Development in the region. '? Vijay is a member of the IBM Industry Academy and brings over 28 years of hands on experience in the areas of Technology and Applications Solutions across Travel and Transportation including Airlines, Airports, Ports, Logistics, Rail & Hospitality industries. '? Prior to joining IBM, Vijay was the Global Head of Travel, Transportation & Hospitality Industries in the Industries Business Unit at Oracle Corporation from 2004, for 12 years. '? During this period Vijay was directly involved in developing Asia Pacific, Greater China, Japan, North America, Latin America, Europe and Middle East markets and in the launch of several Industry specific solutions including Airline Loyalty, Aeronautical Billing Systems, Aircraft Maintenance, Fuel Management, Ports Terminal Management, Sales Rating & Operations, Airline Data Model, Passenger & Asset Data Management and Customer Experience Solutions. '? Prior to Oracle Corporation, Vijay was part of SITA (Societe Internationale de Telecommunications Aeronautiques) for 8 years and has held several lead positions including Solutions Director for Asia Pacific and Airline Alliances, Major Account Director for leading Airlines, Airports, Aerospace, GDSs & Government organizations. '? Vijay is a Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a graduate degree in Science specialising in Physics (Applied Electronics) and an MBA from Canadian School of Management. He is based in Singapore and contributes actively in IATA StB ThinkTank and in the Executive Committee and Board of Advisors at Supply Chain Asia. Vijay
