Maj Gen Amitabh Joshi

Major General Amitabh Joshi is an Adviser/Subject Expert to the UPSC for International affairs and external and internal national security. He held a position of Joint Secretary, Additional Director General of Military Intelligence, Integrated HQ of Ministry of Defence. He was a Principal Director (Brigadier General Staff (Intelligence) of an operationally active Corps in J&K and Assam. He had successfully commanded men in operational as well as peace location and currently holding appointment in an advisory role to the apex body involved in the analysis of national & international events having a bearing on National Security. He was instrumental in handling duties involved in Counter-Intelligence and monitoring of Internal Security situation with close coordination with IB and police. Established an effective system to ensure the security of information and personnel to include cybersecurity aspects pan India. Currently, he is working in an advisory role to the Chief of Army Staff/Govt of India; Assessing and analyzing various issues related to the military/national security and recommending the future course of actions.
