Ben Medlock

Ben Medlock is a director, co-founder and CTO of SwiftKey, the London-based technology start-up behind the Android keyboard of the same name. Ben drives technical innovation at SwiftKey, where artificial intelligence and machine learning are used to enhance text entry on handheld devices. Ben developed his expertise in natural language processing and machine learning during eight years of computer science research, which culminated in a PhD from the University of Cambridge. He has reviewed for a number of prominent academic journals, and his own work is published in ACL, the leading conference for research into computational linguistics, and also in the Journal of Biomedical Informatics. Ben currently lives in London, and on the rare occasion that he's not working, he enjoys playing sport, music and reading theology.
