CVM - Women Empowerment and HIV Prevention Non-governmental Organisation
CVM (Community of Volunteer for the World) is a non governmental organization founded in 1978, based in Italy and implementing projects in Ethiopia and Tanzania. CVM started to work in Tanzania in 2002. APA (A Partnership with Africa) is an Irish NGO registered in 2004. Since 2005 APA and CVM have a consortium agreement, supporting local communities to tackle the spread of HIV and to engage them in activities promoting sustainable social development. CVM&APA have been applying the multi-sectoral approach as a key methodology since they started working. It has been facilitating positive and sustainable actions towards the marginalized an vulnerable groups within communities through capacity building of key people at community grass root level, and supporting the empowerment and coordination of different sectors.
