divento.com Company

Divento.com was launched in June 2001 by Vivendi Universal, with a budget of €15m, by Stephane Lissner, director of the opera de Paris, a close acquaintance of Jean-Marie Messier, Chairman and CEO of Vivendi Universal. Divento.com was acquired in 2004, by publisher Fiona Scott Lazareff. Today it provides events throughout Europe with a low cost, multilingual, content management and booking system. It includes an ongoing series of interviews of high profile people in the world or arts and culture such as Laurent Le Bon, Tim Marlow, Sandy Nairne, Guy Cogeval, Antonio Palucci, Jean Paul Cluzel. In May 2018 Divento.com launched its itinerary planner, allowing tourists to organise the optimum way of visiting a large choice of tourist attractions in a growing number of destinations in Europe. Just enter your destination and your dates, the things you like doing and seeing, and divento's algorithm will come up with a map, showing the ideal itinerary, based on opening and closing days and hours and geographical location as well as current concerts, operas, exhibitions etc. Check the summary of each activity. Delete whatever you don't like. Search for more options, select the ones you want…. The algorithm will calculate the best day and place to add them, depending on when they are open, or closed and where they are compared to one another. And then book your tickets using divento's ticketing app and receive the barcodes directly to your mobile phone. Feeling peckish “en route” or fancy a bit of shopping? Divento has thought about that too. You can find hand-picked cafés, restaurants, bars and boutiques, just steps away from your route. Fiona Scott Lazareff, founder and CEO says “the algorithm was extremely complicated to develop taking almost two years to bring it to market, with twelve developers working on it. It There are over 30 different variables, with different weightings, going into each calculation, many of which have to be manually uploaded onto our database on a daily basis. We are fine-tuning it on an on-going basis. The results will improve with the benefit of AI as we accumulate more data, as an increasing number of people use the algorithm The app comes in English, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian and Chinese versions.
