Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (Morocco) Ministry
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccan Expatriates was created by the Dahir n°1-56-097 du 14 Ramadan 1375 (26 April 1956), 4 months after the formation of the government of M’barek Bekkay, first Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco. On April the 5th, 2017, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God Assist Him, appointed Mr. Nasser Bourita to head this Department.
In accordance with edict n ° 2.11.428 of 7 chaoual 1432 (September 6, 2011) fixing the attributions and the organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Expatriates (MAECMRE), it is his responsivity to conduct diplomatic action, ensure the development of international cooperation and the coordination of all external relations and ensure their adequacy to the foreign policy of the Kingdom.
