Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence Nanophotonics ^{AI Hub}

Their vision is to investigate the artificial neural network inspired by the ideas from artificial-intelligence and nanophotonics for the smarter and greener future. They are discovering artificial neural networks at the same length scales as those in nature, ultimately to allow for 3D nano-printing of artificial “minds”. The LAIN is a research node of the Centre for Ultra-high bandwidth Devices for Optical Systems (CUDOS), an Australian Research Centre of Excellence striving towards the development of nanophotonic integrated circuits for smart sensing in defence, health and environment applications.
