Throughout the years, they have cultivated a fertile ground for the innovation and technology ecosystem to thrive, andthey will continue to evolve their services to help innovators stand amongst the world’s best.They channel supportive initiatives and resources to five major technologies clusters – Biomedical Technology, Electronics, Green Technology, Information and Communications Technology and Material and Precision Engineering. The technology clusters contribute to devising innovative solutions for three platforms in focus – Smart City, Healthy Ageing and Robotics. Established in May 2001, HKSTP has been driving the development of Hong Kong into a regional hub for innovation and growth in several focused clusters including Electronics, Information Communications Technology, Green Technology, Biomedical Technology, Materials and Precision Engineering. HKSTP enable science and technology companies to nurture ideas, innovate and grow, supported by HKSTP's R&D facilities, infrastructure, and market-led laboratories and technical centres with professional support services. They also offer value added services and comprehensive incubation programmes for technology start-ups to accelerate their growth.
