The National Aerospace Training And Research (NASTAR) Center is a commercial air and space training, research, and educational facility. It combines flight simulation with physiology-based courseware to optimize human performance in extreme environments. The NASTAR Center actively collaborates with numerous agencies, including NASA, FAA, and JAA to promote safety in flight. The facility is a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved center that develops and delivers space training, civil aviation training, and military aviation training. It is popularly known for its Upset Prevention and Recovery Training (UPRT) program for commercial aviators. It conducts research on human factors and man-machine interaction; learning and training methodologies; sensory physiology and motion perception; and stress, cognition, and human performance. Its research services comprise combined environments testing; test equipment; data collection, subjects, and operators; and internal IRB. The NASTAR Center’s education programs include summer camp programs, field trips, and professional teacher workshops. Its lessons incorporate Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) objectives. The National Aerospace Training And Research was founded in 2007 and is based in Southampton, Pennsylvania.
