University of Cumbria, a place where people are at the heart of all they do. This year, the university has been ranked 35th out of 126 higher education institutions in the student-informed survey ‘WhatUni’ – a massive rise of 60 places. Their focus on providing their students with the skills and real-life work experience to equip them for the world of work means nine out of ten of all of their graduates are employed or in further study within six months of graduation, and of those, 82% are in graduate-level jobs or study. These two accolades combined make us one of the fastest improving universities in the UK in 2018.

They have undertaken extensive research into the use of alternative currencies such as Bitcoin and the Bristol Pound.
