Dr. Jerry Chen, with a background in medicine and biomedical engineering, is a prominent serial entrepreneur in Taiwan. Currently serving as the CEO of Brain Navi Ltd. and the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) of iXensor, he has made significant contributions to the medical technology field. In 2012, Dr. Chen, along with two other STB fellows, founded iXensor Inc., a medical device startup focused on mobile health applications and information management. Notably, iXensor pioneered the transformation of ordinary smartphones into lab-grade medical diagnostic devices, with their first product, PixoTest®, being the world's first FDA-approved smartphone camera-based blood test in 2017. As the CEO of Brain Navi Biotechnology Co., Ltd., founded in 2015, Dr. Chen leads a team that specializes in innovative navigation systems for brain surgery. Their AUTOPILOT brain surgical system, NaoTrac, integrates advanced sensing technologies, AI, and robotics to enhance surgical accuracy, streamline procedures, and reduce the learning curve for neurosurgeons. Brain Navi's Nasal Swab Robot (NSR) and Zero-Contact Medical Station have played crucial roles in aiding medical staff during the COVID-19 pandemic, with collaboration with TSMC deploying the technology in 14 hospitals in Taiwan.
