York Archaeological Trust (UK) ^NGOs

Founded in 1972, YAT investigates the past for the benefit of present communities and is known for its investigations of the archaeological deposits of Historic York, which lead to the creation of world removed JORVIK Viking Centre. Over 15 million visitors have been welcomed by JORVIK, DIG and Barley Hall.
