The Swan Sanctuary (UK) ^NGOs

The Swan Sanctuary was founded in the early 1980s and is the largest and only completely self-contained swan hospital in the UK. The sanctuary is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round, and around 4,000 swans along with thousands of other animals are given some form of help every year, ranging from bank-side treatment to hospitalisation, often involving major surgery. Everyone involved with sanctuary works for free as the charity does not receive any state or National Lottery Funding whatsoever.
