Campaign for National Parks ^NGOs

Campaign for National Parks is the only national charity dedicated to protecting, improving and promoting all thirteen National Parks of England and Wales. We were involved in the creation of the Parks back in the 1940s and 50s and today they remain essential to the nation's health and well-being. The National Parks are among the most beautiful and valued landscapes in the British Isles, containing some of our most breath-taking scenery, rare wildlife and cultural heritage. We want to keep them safe for future generations to enjoy. They are home to rural communities and important to local economies, and they provide a wide range of recreational opportunities. For over 80 years we have been campaigning to strengthen the powers of National Parks, been vigilant in monitoring the Parks against damaging developments and promoted National Parks for the enjoyment of everyone.
